CAD+ use a variety of state-of-the art engineering design, analysis and collaboration tools to deliver our specialist opto-mechanical and illumination services.

SolidWorks is used to generate complex 3D opto-mechanical models of parts and assemblies in preparation for illumination analysis in TracePro. Optical properties such as surface finishes, materials and even source definitions are assigned to and then stored along with the SolidWorks data. Using TracePro’s bridging software files are saved in the native TracePro file extension ready to be load in to the illumination software for simulation and analysis.

3D solid modelling is not restricted to SolidWorks at CAD+, although it does provide the most efficient workflow into our analysis software TracePro. CAD+ also has experience in both CREO Elements Direct and CREO Parametric from PTC and through our associates can also provide our services in Catia V5 format.

Although TracePro provides fast and accurate optical analysis CAD+ can also provide, where necessary, their analysis and simulation files in alternative illumination software formats, such as SPEOS / OptisWorks. APEX and LightTools, via our network of associates. All CAD, CAE and associated documentation is stored in Design Data Manager (DDM) software allowing for revision control and design approval and release audit trail. The use of these advanced design, analysis and data management tools allows CAD+ to quickly and accurately find design solution to your most challenging illumination problems.
